Becky is working double shifts and taking classes at the community college, resulting in less time with her daughter, Beverly Rose. Meanwhile, Dan decides to foster an elderly dog.
After Darlene and Jackie continue to fail in getting Dan and Ben to start talking again, Molly Tilden successfully brings them together.
Darlene continues to get Dan and Ben to stop aruging with each other. Dan says that Darlene and Ben do not need to move out. When Darlene says that Becky will help pay more bills, Becky announces that she finally took Darlene's advice about going to school.
Later in the week, Becky walks in the house, unable to handle work and school. Beverly Rose is staying with Emilio full time, still away from the house. Ben does not want to move back in. He says it is time for them to get their own place to stay.
Ben is not doing too good at O'Linsky's. Jackie is checking on him until Molly Tilden shows up for the first time in 27 years. Jackie is terrified.
Emilio arrives with "Cousin" Lupe, who is the mother figure in Beverly Rose's life. Beverly Rose imprinted on Lupe, and will not be separated from her. Becky tells them to go away so she can cry secretly.
Jackie told Darlene about Molly. She blames Molly about the problems with Ben. Molly thought these are annoying accusations, but Molly wants to help. However, she says the best thing to do is start drinking. She does not explain why.
They go to the bar until Darlene decides to not make any decisions until the last minute. When Ben calls, Darlene successfully makes Ben feel as bad as she does.
Becky is doing laundry at a public facility. She encounters a woman that looks like Peg Phillips / Ruth Anne Miller. She is expecting Becky to have alcohol and hands her a measuring cup to share. As she pours the alcohol for the woman, Becky tells her about in order to keep Beverly Rose out of poverty, she will have to work and spend time away fron her daughter.
Dan is working as an impound officer. Dan is surprised Ben wants to talk to him and Darlene. He says that Dan does not need to stand guard all night in freezing weather and agrees on 10% of O'Linsky's. Dan says he wants only a share of the profits and not the business. If Ben and Darlene marry or have children together, The Conner Family would still own it. Ben tells Darlene the good news. He also says he wants Darlene to move in with him in six months. Darlene says that they can talk about it in six months and says that she will stop by unannounced to sleep with him.
Molly lets Darlene know about the plane tickets she got from her ex boyfriend's credit card. She does not explain why her ex boyfriend is so understanding. She says it will cost Darlene only four vacation days. Molly is not satisfied with Darlene's dreary answer. She says that she needs to take Darlene drinking again.
