Anne-Marie Mitchell is a highschool friend of Roseanne Conner who appears in a recurring basis on Roseanne, appearing in fifteen episodes of the series. The part of Anne-Marie is played by veteran stage/TV/film actress Adilah Barnes.
About Anne-Marie[]
Anne-Marie, who has a young son (that grew up and moved to Omaha), went to high school with Roseanne and Jackie. She reconnects with Roseanne after Becky is in suspended from school for giving the bird in a school photo. Her husband Chuckie (played by James Pickens, Jr.), is one of Dan Conner's poker playing buddies who also worked with him for a time doing construction as well as helps remodels homes and sells them for a profit. A long time friend of Roseanne and Jackie, oftentimes they and their other girlfriends get together, usually at Roseanne's and "chew the fat" and gossip about people which they all know, and sometimes get into mischief; as in the episode "Pretty in Black" in Season 5, where Anne-Marie, Jackie, Nancy, and Crystal, in a mischievous game of "Truth or Dare: all "dare" Roseanne to take off her bra in public, which she winds up doing on the Conner's back yard, while Dan was in the garage with new next door neighbor Ty Tilden (Wings Hauser), the father of Molly Tilden and her sister Charlotte.

- It was stated that she worked in the episode Bird is the Word yet by the time that Dan wanted her to be their business partner in The Lunch Box, Roseanne said that both of them were unemployed, around the same time that Jerry Bowman lost his job at Wellman Plastics. It was later said a few times that Anne-Marie is always by Chuckie's side, suggesting they both worked in Jerry's department, and that she later helped him out in Chuckie's business ventures.
