Communicable Theater was the 18th episode of Season 3 of Roseanne, also the 65th overall series episode. Written by Jennifer Heath and Amy Sherman, the episode was directed by John Whitesell. It originally aired on ABC-TV on February 19, 1991.

Plot summary[]

Roseanne is torn between taking care of a flu-stricken Dan, taking D.J. to get a badge for his scouts and helping Jackie learn lines for her play.


Jackie: Maybe Roxanne just isn't my part.
Roseanne: I don't know. She dumps the cool guy with the big nose for the moron with the cute butt. That's right up your alley.

DJ (to Roseanne): You lied!
Roseanne: Okay, so it's not exactly like Pinocchio.
