</noinclude> Ed Conner Jr. is the son of Crystal Anderson and Ed Conner. He is the younger half-brother of Dan Conner, and Lonnie Anderson and the older brother of Angela Conner. Crystal gave birth to him off screen, sometime between the end of Season 3 and the beginning of Season 4 of Roseanne.
Since he only appeared in Season 4, he was only seen as a baby for the rest of Roseanne. However, Ed Conner returned to the series in Season 2 of The Conners.
After Dan decided to abandon their father for the way he treated him and his mother, Ed Jr. and his brother Dan remained completely estranged from each other for almost 20 years.
It took their Dad's death for Ed Jr. to finally get in contact with Dan, seeking help to fix their father's house up so that it can be sold. It turns out that Dan had been writing Ed Jr. and Angela letters throughout the years, but their father was returning them, leaving Ed Jr. and his sister unbeknownst to them and giving them the impression that Dan wanted nothing to do with them.
Unlike Dan, Ed Jr. and Angela was fond of their father, and considered him to be a good Dad, going as far as dropping everything to take care of the him until his death. Despite a somewhat antagonistic reunion, he and Dan begin to bond soon after. Ed even partakes in poker games with DJ and Dan's friends.
