Emilio Rodriguez (played by Rene Rosado) is the father of Beverly Rose with Becky Conner. At the time, He and Becky worked together on the same shift at La Casita Bonita, where they eventually (in a drunk state) had sex in a freezer. To her surprise, Becky finds out she was pregnant, requiring her to stop drinking alcohol.
Being a well-intentioned, selfless person, Emilio stops at nothing to ensure that he is a constant presence in the lives of his daughter and former fling (for whom he still pines). However, he is undocumented and is living in Lanford illegally and was briefly deported back to Mexico. Emilio tells Becky that he has two Tias (Aunts) that stayed in The United States Of America to help raise Beverly Rose. However, his two Tias blame Becky for Emilio's deportation, which leads them into pressuring her into marrying Emilio so that he can come back legally within two years.
Becky decides to meet Emilio in Mexico so that he can meet Beverly Rose for the first time. At his insistence, they get married with plans for an eventual divorce. However, he decides that he doesn't want to miss out on Beverly Rose's life anymore and sneaks back into Lanford, despite the two year waiting period. He intends on staying at his Tia's house, whilst evading ICE in fear of being deported again.
Jackie allows him to work at The Lunch Box as a cook, with Becky agreeing as well, but not to the relationship that Emilio still wants. Believing that Becky isn't letting him parent Beverly Rose, he insists that Beverly Rose be baptized. Becky eventually relents to her being baptized after she commits to sharing Beverly Rose with him.
Due to him sneaking back illegally, he was initially not welcomed by Dan but over time, Dan no longer seems to mind his presence. Emilio has since divorced Becky and later married someone else, but still maintains contact with his daughter and Becky, while making visits.
