</noinclude>George is a fictional semi-recurring character who appears on four episodes of Roseanne. He was played by actor Joseph Gordon-Levitt, perhaps best known for the 90s "Dark Shadows" reboot and the NBC-TV series "Third Rock From the Sun."

About George

George is a student at James Madison Elementary School along with D.J. Conner in 1993; the two of them later becoming friends. Not much is known about him, not even his last name, but when he id first seen, he's is very neatly dressed and talks a lot, annoying D.J. to the point that he uses his father, Dan Conner, as an excuse to send him home. George also has a coin collection he is so proud of that he shows it off to D.J. So completely bored of him, D.J. tries to get out of attending George's birthday party, later attending begrudgingly. (Daughters and Other Strangers)

Over time, D.J. starts gradually hanging out with George, the two of them sometimes ending up at the The Lunch Box, but much of the time, George is often unaware he is being used. D.J. uses him as an excuse to hide the fact he is attending church, and Roseanne Conner, D.J.'s mom, uses Wrestlemania tickets as a means to trick D.J. into returning to work at the Lunch Box. The plot however fails when Dan goes to work at the city garage with Dan. (I Pray the Lord My Stove to Keep/Follow the Son)

By 1995, George and D.J. are almost certainly friends with D.J. teaching him how to outsmart their parents. Together, they try to convince Dan there's no school in order to skip attending, but Dan increases the pressure on him, and he snaps, telling him the truth. (Single Married Female)

Nothing is known about what happens to George. While it is likely they both later attended Lanford High School together, they would have lost contact after D.J. went to join the Army. It is not known if George is still living in Lanford.
