Hoi Polloi Meets Hoiti Toiti was the eighth episode of Season 9 of Roseanne, also the 206th overall series episode. It was written by Leif Sandaas and Debbie Kasper, and was directed by Mark K. Samuels. It originally aired on ABC-TV on November 12, 1996.
Summary[]
Roseanne, Jackie, DJ, Mark, Bev, Becky, Andy, and Jerry go to the Wentworth estate to meet Astrid's family, who aren't impressed at Roseanne's trashy ways. When she finds the family's stash of "happy pills," Roseanne teaches them to scream out their anger.
Plot[]
Socialite Astrid Wentworth invites the Conners to visit her snobby family at Martha's Vineyard. Kiki Wentworth tries to come on to D.J., while Roseanne teaches Doris Wentworth other ways to get her frustrations out rather than prescription medication.

- Mo Gaffney makes her second appearance as Astrid Wentworth. She had appeared in the previous episode "Satan, Darling".
- Iqbal Theba makes his first appearance as Dr. Bakshi. He would return in the next episode "Roseambo".
- Phil Leeds appears as Grandmama Lily. He had just appeared in the previous episode ("Satan, Darling"), but playing a waiter, and also appeared in "Tooth or Consequences" from Season 5 playing Jeffrey.
- Stella Butler, who play Nurse Stella had just appeared a couple of episodes ago in "What a Day for a Daydream", but playing an audience member.
- Despite being credited, John Goodman (Dan Conner) and Sara Gilbert (Darlene Conner) do not appear.
