Honor Thy Mother was the fourth episode of Season 9 of Roseanne, also the 202nd overall series episode. It was written by Bob Hickman and Amy Welsh, and was directed by Mark K. Samuels. It originally aired on ABC-TV on October 8, 1996.
Summary[]
Dan announces that he's going to visit his mother in California. Jackie and Roseanne wait out the Conner house's renovation at a spa.
Plot[]
After winning the lottery, Dan acts strange around the house and with his friends. He doesn't watch Monday night football and starts fixing things around the house at odd hours of the night. When he finally reveals that his mother is in a psychiatric hospital, he and Roseanne make plans to take her to California to see a specialist.
