Jerome "Jerry" Garcia Conner is the youngest child of the Conner family, born in 1995 on Halloween when Roseanne and Dan were in their forties. He is named after Jerry Garcia of the Grateful Dead.
In season 7, it was revealed that Roseanne's unborn child would be a girl, but Roseanne wanted the baby's gender to be the one of her real child, son Buck Thomas, born in 1995. Roseanne's character became pregnant three months before the actress. Jerry was born in the Halloween episode in 1995.
In the 2018 revival season, Jerry’s existence is acknowledged in several ways. In the premiere, Roseanne prays for his safety while he works on a fishing boat in Alaska. Photographs of him can also be seen in the Conner living room, though these are actually images of Roseanne Barr's real-life son, Buck Thomas. In Season 10, Episode 4 ("Eggs Over, Not Easy"), Roseanne mentions having had a child in her forties while comforting Becky about her fertility struggles, a reference to Jerry. Despite these nods, Jerry does not appear onscreen and is not further mentioned in the remainder of the series.
