Becky meets up with an old friend and feels pressured to impress him while Dan questions his position at the hardware store, leading to a massive fight between him and Ben.
Darlene and Jackie try to patch up yet another fight between Dan and Ben. Becky resumes her alcohol consumption.
The Conner Family fights over what to give Louise. Dan and Dan talk about getting a promotion at O'Linsky's.
Becky talks with Darlene and Jackie about if she should meet an old friend. She is afraid to talk to him be cause he is much more successful than she is.
It is Darlene's turn to cook. Mary hates the food. Jackie gladly accepts the food and scolds Mary for not appreciating Darlene in her turn to cook. Becky walks in with fancy dress and mocks every body else. Ben walks in next to celebrate Dan's hard work at O'Linksky's. Dan starts hinting that he wants a huge promotion. He blabs about if Darlene marries Ben, the entire Conner Family gets partial ownership in the store. Ben gradually is upset while Darlene tries to help Dan out. Ben says that The Conner Family, especially Dan, are unsuccessful at owning businesses. Darlene yells at Dan for not letting her do the talking.
Later, Darlene and Ben talk about it. She says that she wants Dan to finally have a job. Ben says he has sentimental attachment to the store as is.
Becky meets her very successful friend. She is a terrible liar, and needs to calm down. He does not know about Becky's alcohol problem of which she says nothing about. In the middle of the evening she resumes drinking alcohol again.
Harris is the second child to complain about the food in the kitchen. She does not like how the breakfast is served at dinner and dinner is for breakfast. Darlene tries again to get Dan and Ben to work together again. However, the two bicker as usual. Ben is tired of helping Dan pay his bills while Dan is tired of helping Dan keep the store open. Ben decides to live at the store.
Darlene and Becky talk about Ben and Becky's old friend. She tells Darlene that she drank one glass of champagne. Darlene is alarmed.
Jackie tries to get Dan to talk to Ben. However, she misses her own point of not being able to make things right with Roseanne. Instead, Jackie can think of only bad memories of The Lunch Box. She halts the conversation by saying Dan is jealous.
