Roseanne & The Conners Wiki

Rodbells is a massive department store chain that exists in the Roseanne universes. In Lanford, there is an anchor location in a three storey indoor shopping mall where Roseanne and Bonnie were employed with Leon in charge.

Description[]

It is not unlike department stores of the era, such as The Atlantic & Pacific Tea Company. Or perhaps more known to shopping malls: Montgomery Ward. In other words, it functions as what Walmart & Home Depot does now. It is not uncommon for such Hypermarkets to do what Department Stores do also which is to host locations for miniature shops. One of them happened to be Rodbells Luncheonette.

History[]

  • After looking for a permanent job for some time, Roseanne happily decided to work for the short handed department store.
  • The Conner Family were recruited for a commercial advertisement. To Roseanne's chagrin, they wanted a single family household, meaning the two adult sisters could not be together. They cast Jackie as the mother, and the final result in post production focused on Darlene.
  • Rodbells closed down their Lunchonette, presumably because the mall expanded their food court. Roseanne went to work at Lanford Custom Cycle until it too closed down. It was not until Beverly agreed to fund their dream of opening their own lunch shop that they found stable employment again.
