Some Enchanted Merger was the 17th episode of Season 9 of Roseanne, also the 215th overall series episode. It was written by April Winchell, and was directed by Gary Halvorson. It originally aired on ABC-TV on February 11, 1997.

Synopsis

Jackie believes that Roseanne and Edgar Wellman are an item for real--they're not, although Roseanne desperately, secretly, wishes they were! Roseanne claims it's just for business; Jackie doesn't believe her. Roseanne dreams that the couple are from the movie Evita.

Plot summary

Once the Wellman Plastics buyout is completed, Roseanne is at a loss for what to do when a mutual attraction springs between herself and Edgar Wellman Jr. (James Brolin).

Note: John Goodman (Dan Conner) does not appear in this episode.
