Someday My Prince Will Come was the fifth episode of Season 9 of Roseanne, also the 203rd overall series episode. It was written by Carrie Snow and Janet Leahy, and was directed by Mark K. Samuels. It originally aired on ABC-TV on October 15, 1996.
Summary[]
A prince comes to Lanford with hopes of romancing Jackie. He then invites the Conners on a trip to New York.
Plot[]
Prince Carlos Charmaine (Jim Varney) from Moldavia, visits Jackie, with whom he's enamored after seeing her on television. Roseanne warns Jackie to remain distant, until Leon discovers that he's really a prince. The family are invited on a trip to New York with Leon in place of Dan, who's still in California.

- Jim Varney makes his second appearance as Prince Carlos after appearing in the previous episode "Honor Thy Mother". He will also appear in "Home Is Where the Afghan Is".
- Despite being credited, John Goodman (Dan Conner) and Sara Gilbert (Darlene Conner) do not appear.
- This marks the first episode where Dan is completely absent. He will be absent for twelve total episodes of the season.
