The Wedding of Dan and Louise is the fourth episode of Season 4 of The Conners, also the 55th episode overall.
Summary[]
It's Dan and Louise's wedding day, but it's a far-from-perfect walk down the aisle, especially when a weather report forecasts that a tornado is headed for Lanford creating chaos and surprises.
Plot[]
Darlene and Ben continue to work through their problems while Dan and Louise try to get married.
In-Depth[]
Everything is going wrong with their wedding plans. They do not have the Brides Maids Dresses, The flowers were mixed up with Eucalyptus, A funeral is scheduled after the wedding, and even more bad weather is forecast. Louise walks out of the kitchen telling Darlene how annoying Dan is. Darlene says that she does not want Ben to go to the wedding. Dan says that Ben is most certainly invited to the wedding. Darlene hears that Ben has a new date so she invites Jeff.
Becky is making a huge mistake going to a wedding where there is alcohol. Harris is bringing a date.
Jackie, Dan, and Louise are in the Garage. Both Dan and Louise are nervous. She says that the dresses are all wrong, everybody is mad at her, and wants to cancel the wedding. Jackie tells Dan to take charge. Jackie quickly takes charge instead when Dan does not know what to do.
Later, they still can not find Louise. There is a weather report on the television. Lanford is shown on the map between Interstate 290 and Interstate 294 not far from the airport and several rail yards.
Mikey shows up and is welcomed by Becky and Dan. Darlene's plan to bother Ben succeeds. However, Ben says it is a complete misunderstanding. He tried to invite Barb who said that The Virus is as bad as The Bad Weather.
Neville is driving Jackie, Dan, Darlene, Ben, Jeff, and some supplies in his van. Ben and Jeff can not stand each other. In the next lane they find a Hummer. When they talk to The Conner Family, it turns out that it is a bunch of Storm Chasers. One of The Twister Hunters a Psychologist that knows Darlene. She tells him about Ben and Jeff and a Psychic told her to go on a spiritual journey. He was warning The Conner Family to cancel the wedding. However, he changed his mind. Ben and Jeff are still not happy.
Harris rushed her date past Darlene. Darlene is the last to know about him. Becky and Mary are upset that they picked up an alcoholic beverage. Becky runs away with Mikey trying to comfort her. Darlene and Ben walk together down the aisle. Neville and Louise are next. Dan and Louise are together after that. Unfortunately, they are interrupted by a Tornado Siren. Dan insists that they are the last ones to take shelter so there is plenty of time to finish the wedding. The windows shatter and the Minister is next in line to take shelter. Jackie tells them to hurry up. However, she tells them that she is Minister for The Universal Life Church. She frantically marries them and they run for shelter.
Mark Junior wants Ben to stay for movies. Darlene gives him permission while they talk about their own relationship. Darlene decided to go for a walk outside in the Dangerous Weather. Ben does not want her to do that and continues to want a perfect marriage that Dan and Louise has.
Dan and Louise dance in the Kitchen to The Tennessee Waltz.
